The Wedding Day was everything I could have asked for. It was a beautiful day and everything was perfect!

We were at the hotel and ready to head to the airport on our honeymoon when it occurred to us ... Where's our Marriage Certificate?!?

Who did the Officiant pass it to after the Ceremony? Do you have it? Did I put it in my purse? Does someone in the bridal party have it? Is it still in the tuxedo pocket and heading back to the rental company?!

This situation happens all too often, so here's a tip for everyone to ensure that this doesn't happen to you.

Allocate someone, outside of your immediate family and bridal party if possible, to stay behind after the Ceremony and get your Marriage Certificate from the Officiant.

And to prevent your Marriage Certificate from getting folded, provide that person with a folder or container to carry it in. Special pewter or silver Marriage Certificate Holders are also available at some major retail stores and can also be added to your Bridal Registry.
